Islamic Development Bank Scholarship

By supporting social and economic development in Member nations and Muslim communities around the world, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is a multilateral development bank (MDB) that works to enhance the lives of the people it serves. This is done by providing impact at scale.

IsDB offers the necessary framework so that individuals can live better lives and realize their full potential. It holds the thought that encouraging economic growth is the greatest path out of poverty and that everyone has the right to live with dignity and prosperity.
IsDB creates the infrastructure necessary for individuals to realize their potential while empowering them to drive their own economic and social growth at scale.

Selection Procedure

Two Independent International Selection Committees, comprised of academics and presided over by the Senior Advisor to the IsDB President for Science, Technology, and Innovation, carry out the assessment and selection procedure. These committees evaluate the applicants’ credentials and eligibility requirements and determine the applicant’s suggested subjects of study or research proposal’s relevance to science and development.

These Committees provide recommendations for the final selection, and the IsDB management, whose decision is final, approves the choice of applicants. It should be noted that receiving admission or being enrolled at a university does not guarantee acceptance and is not a prerequisite for applying. The selection panels for the IsDB Scholarship Programs make the ultimate determination about the location of the student’s studies.

Where to Study

Selected candidates must be accepted by one of their home nations’ top 10 public or government institutions. And in the meantime, the IsDB may seek admission in member nations having an agreement with the IsDB for those students who were unable to achieve admission in their native countries owing to any unavoidable circumstance.

The approval by the relevant institutions in these nations will determine whether or not any student will be admitted in the end under these agreements.
