UNIJOS Student Portal Login 2023: The University of Jos was established as a Campus of Ibadan University in November 1971, when Professor E.A. Ayandele was appointed as its first Acting Primate.
The University’s first domicile was the current Township campus of the university, along Murtala Muhammad Way, Jos. The first students admitted to the University in January 1972 were pre-graduates.
The first degree courses in Arts were offered in October 1973, followed by degree courses in Science and Education in the following year. In the same year, the University acquired the Bauchi Road Campus, which then hosted only the faculties of Natural, environmental sciences, Medical sciences, and education. In October 1975 the then Military Government declared the formation of seven new universities and university colleges, including the University.
Is the Student Portal Login for the University of Jos Open?
Yes, the Admission list for the University of Jos for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 Academic Sessions has been released for the various Undergraduate programmes of the University.
All the candidates who have applied for the University of Jos admission list and have been able to pass the cut-off mark for Online Post-UTME /DE Screening in the University are invited to log in to their profile on the JAMB portal to check their admission status and if they have been admitted in the University, and then they must download and print the university Admission Letter.

How to Check the Admission List via UNIJOS Student Portal Login
- Step 1: Visit and log in to the University of Jos school portal. Link: https://portal.unijos.edu.ng/Account/CheckAdmission
- Step 2: You will be redirected to the school portal homepage.
- Step 3: Input your JAMB Registration Number on the school website to check if you have been admitted.
- Step 4: Enter and Click on “Get started” to finally access your admission list.
- Step 5: Your Admission status will show on the next page
Note: Candidates who have been admitted to a different course from the one they applied for through the University portal should visit the JAMB’s CAPS portal to obtain transfer approval and enroll in the new course, in order to expedite the process of receiving their admission letter.
Additionally, those who were admitted to the University portal but have not yet received their letter of acceptance should upload their SSCE results to the JAMB platform in order to facilitate the University in proposing their admission into the CAPS system.

Most students who notices the ongoing admission process on the UNIJOS school website are advised to wait and reminded that the admission procedure for the 2021 / 2022 and 2022 / 2023 academic sessions is ongoing.
